Truck Carrying Langar Supplies for Amarnath Yatra Overturns in Jammu

Jammu: A truck carrying langar supplies for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra overturned in the Narwal-Malik Market area of Jammu on Wednesday, creating panic and disrupting traffic. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported in the accident.

According to reports, the truck was transporting langar materials from Tohana, Haryana, for service during the annual Amarnath pilgrimage. The vehicle reportedly lost control after hitting a road divider and overturned on the busy roadway.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the truck, sustained minor injuries and is said to be safe. Eyewitnesses stated that the accident could have turned disastrous, as the road witnesses heavy traffic throughout the day. Had the truck fallen onto a passing car, two-wheeler, or pedestrian, the consequences could have been severe.

Following the incident, personnel from Jammu Police, Traffic Police, and local authorities rushed to the spot and launched rescue and traffic management operations. The overturned truck caused temporary traffic congestion in the area.
