JAMMU: A birthday celebration turned tragic in Jammu’s Lower Roop Nagar area after a dispute reportedly broke out among friends over smearing cake on the face during the party.
According to preliminary information, the argument between the youths escalated within a short time and turned violent. During the clash, one of the youths was allegedly attacked with tokas, leaving him seriously injured.
The injured youth was rushed for medical treatment, but he later succumbed to his injuries. The incident has shocked the local residents, particularly as the persons involved were reportedly known to each other and were friends.
Following the incident, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. Police are examining the circumstances that led to the altercation and are questioning people connected with the birthday party to establish the sequence of events.
