Jammu Gets a Major Traffic Relief! Satwari to Kunjwani Flyover Ready, Vehicles Likely to Start Plying Soon

A major relief is on the way for people travelling through Jammu. The Satwari-Kunjwani Flyover, being developed as part of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway project, has been completed and is expected to be opened for traffic next month.

The flyover, constructed at an estimated cost of ₹240 crore, will bypass the busy Satwari Chowk, which frequently witnesses heavy traffic congestion. Once operational, vehicles travelling between Pathankot and Jammu are expected to save significant travel time, while commuters heading towards the airport will also benefit from smoother traffic movement.

The flyover will allow vehicles to travel directly towards Kunjwani without having to come down onto the busy city road, providing relief to both local commuters and commercial vehicles.

The Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway is expected to be completed next year. Once fully operational, the expressway is likely to reduce the travel time between Delhi and Katra to around six hours, providing a major boost to connectivity in the region.
