Four government officials have been suspended in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district over poor performance in the ongoing Digital Crop Survey. The action was taken after a review found that the officials had failed to achieve the targets assigned to them.
The suspended officials include Agriculture Department AEAs Jatinder Kumar and Sunil Khajuria, along with Rural Development Department Panchayat Secretaries Surinder Singh and Vishal Rasgotra.
The incident is from Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir, where the administration is conducting a digital survey of agricultural land and crops. The authorities took the action to ensure accountability and improve the progress of the important survey.
The suspension orders came into effect immediately. The administration is expected to closely monitor the performance of officials involved in the Digital Crop Survey to ensure that the remaining targets are completed on time.
