The weather in Jammu changed on Tuesday, with rainfall reported in several areas of the region. After days of humid and hot conditions, the showers brought some relief to residents, while temperatures also witnessed a decline.
According to the weather department forecast, several parts of the Jammu division may receive light to moderate rainfall on August 11 and 12. Some areas may also experience heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. Rainfall has already begun in several areas on Tuesday.
The weather is expected to remain unsettled over the coming days, with alternating periods of sunshine and cloud cover. Intermittent rainfall is likely to continue in different parts of the Jammu division, while some areas could witness sudden heavy showers and thunderstorms.
Due to the changing weather conditions, temperatures are likely to fluctuate. Although the rainfall may provide some relief from the heat, humid conditions may continue in some areas.
On August 15 and 16, Jammu is also likely to witness generally cloudy skies, with light rain and thundershowers possible at some places. On August 17, cloudy conditions and light rainfall are also expected in several areas.
Residents have been advised to remain cautious during periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms. People living in hilly and vulnerable areas are particularly advised to stay alert, as sudden heavy rainfall could lead to difficult conditions in some locations.
