A tragic incident has been reported from the Housing Colony area of Udhampur, where Sushma Devi died during treatment after allegedly being set on fire. Her 27-year-old son, Parmoksh Verma, has been taken into police custody in connection with the case.
According to the available information, Sushma Devi sustained severe burn injuries in the incident. She was initially taken to the Associated Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Udhampur for treatment.
Considering her critical condition, doctors referred her to a hospital in Jammu for further medical care. However, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
Following the incident, police took Parmoksh Verma into custody and initiated further legal proceedings. The circumstances surrounding the incident and the alleged motive are yet to be established.
