A woman Border Security Force (BSF) personnel was shot while performing duty along the India-Pakistan International Border in Jammu and Kashmir. The incident reportedly took place at a border post in the Suchetgarh area.
The woman jawan sustained a gunshot injury and was initially provided medical assistance before being referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu in critical condition.
Despite efforts to save her, the BSF personnel succumbed to her injuries during treatment at GMC Jammu.
Following the incident, senior officials reached the spot and an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the exact circumstances under which the weapon was fired.
